Peter Klainer received his Bachelor of Arts degree in Biology from Haverford College and went on to receive his medical degree from Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons in New York City. After completing a five year residency in General Surgery at Morristown Memorial Hospital Center, one of Columbia University’s premier teaching hospitals, he completed his residency in Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery at St. Louis University and a Fellowship in Aesthetic Surgery in Indianapolis, Indiana.
He is Board Certified by the American Board of Surgery and the American Board of Plastic Surgery. He is a member of the American Society of Plastic Surgeons and a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons.
Dr. Klainer strives to keep up to date on the latest technologies and procedures. He was the first person to perform SmartLipo in the Virginia, West Virginia, and Washington, D.C. area and now teaches and speaks internationally about SmartLipo, Cellulaze and other aesthetic laser procedures.
He comes to North Carolina from Northern Virginia where he had his own successful Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery practice since 2000. He is excited to join Carolinas Center for Surgery and become part of the Carteret County community.
Dr. Klainer believes that listening to his patients and educating them about their procedures is the cornerstone of developing an individualized treatment plan aimed at achieving ideal results. He feels it is both an honor and a privilege to play a part in each person’s journey.
He lives in Carteret County with his wife and has 2 daughters presently in college.
